- Description
- The United States Government Printing Office (GPO) has a requirement to procure the services of a Consultant that can identify an e-commerce solution for the Superintendent of Documents (SOD) Sales Program, the strategic focus of which is the United States Government Online Bookstore http://bookstore.gpo.gov. The consultant must have expertise in the area of e-commerce, and will evaluate the current sales operations and make a recommendation on how to proceed with a commercial e-commerce product solution. The consultant will be required to: (1) Review the capabilities of the platforms and software currently in use for the front-end interface and the back-end legacy systems for the online bookstore; (2) Review GPO?s goals in replacing the existing applications; (3) Interview IT and other GPO personnel involved with the SOD Sales Program and online bookstore; (3) Correlate the commercial e-commerce software currently available in the marketplace with the defined needs of GPO; (4) Prepare a detailed report recommending a complete commercial off the shelf (COTS) e-commerce for the SOD Sales Program. The consultant will complete all requirements in a 60-day period. All responsible sources may submit information on how they could best meet the requirements of GPO, including evidence that the respondent is able to successfully complete all requirements listed above.
