- In accordance with 5.203, this is a notice of intent to solicit for eTravel Services (eTS). The eTS is a web-based, end-to-end travel management system for use by all participating entities authorized to use the General Services Administration?s (GSA) sources of supply. Fulfillment of these services will serve critical Government needs to (1) facilitate the travel process for the Federal traveler, (2) ensure prompt reimbursement of travel expenses to the Federal traveler and travel suppliers, (3) leverage the Government?s buying power and significantly reduce the cost of travel management, and (4) improve visibility into travel management processes for continued improvement and cost savings. The anticipated closing date of the eTS solicitation is March 28, 2003. The solicitation for eTravel service (eTS) will be posted by close of business Wednesday, February 26, 2003. This solicitation will be released via the Internet through the electronic posting system at: www.fedbizopps.gov. In order to conduct this procurement most effectively, all notices and postings will be made at this location. Please be aware that the solicitation, questions and answers, comments, or any other information will not be disseminated in any other format. Be sure you check the web site regularly for any updates and amendments to the final solicitation. You may access information pertinent to the eTS schedule from this homepage. GSA is using Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 streamlined procedures in soliciting this requirement. A pre-proposal bidders conference will be held from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on March 7, 2003, at the Sheraton Crystal City, 1800 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA, 22202, directions attached (Telephone 703-486-1111). Registrations to attend the conference and any questions that prospective offerors desire to have answered at the pre-proposal bidders conference must be submitted by email to onthego@gsa.gov by close of business March 4, 2003. Offerors will also have an opportunity to ask questions at the pre-proposal conference.
