- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J. intends to solicit a Request for Proposals for 2 each, direct gas fired, industrial batch style ovens with double doors and a monorail slot (both slot and doors at one end only), designed for an operating temperature of 130 to 500 degrees F. Specifically, the unit shall be used for the curing of powder coatings applied to equipment. Approximate exterior dimensions of the ovens required are 10' wide x 9'6" high x 20'6" deep. Ovens shall operate on 460 V, 60 Hz, 3 phase power. For heating, the oven shall operate on a supply requirement of <1 mil CFH service at 8" WCP at burner. In addition to other relevant codes, the ovens shall be in conformance with National Fire Protection Association Bulletin #86 for Class "A" ovens. Start-up, training, and submission of logistical support data will also be required as part of the contract. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying "commercial items" as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The solicitation will include a Purchase Description and Statement of Work with associated Contract Data Requirements Lists. The estimated Issue Date for this solicitation is 13 March 2003.
