- Description
- The Air Armament Center Contracting Office at Eglin Air Force Base intends to solicit and award a contract at a future date currently unknown in order to obtain landscaping services for power line right-of-way clearing in support of a Civil Engineering requirement. This Sources Sought is intended to solicit and create a list of potential contractors capable and willing to perform such a service. The requirement details as follows: (1) acres of Power Lines: 1379 Acres (325 miles x 35 feet wide), (2) vegetation shall be cut to a height of no more than six (6) inches and a minimum width of 35 feet centered on the power line, (3) the contractor shall trim vegetation around guide wires and poles. The Government intends to furnish maps of the Ranges with power line locations marked, along with copies of any applicable environmental regulations, access permits, gate keys, and any other items required for contractor access. The contractor shall provide all material, equipment, tools, personnel, etc. as required to cut down and legally dispose of all vegetation on the power lines as described. Additionally, the contractor must have the required training, license, and permits required to perform this contract. Through this Sources Sought the Government is merely compiling a list of potential contractors for the service previously described. This Sources Sought is for acquisition planning purposes only and shall not be considered as a request for proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Government does not plan to award a contract based on the responses from this Sources Sought or otherwise pay for the information solicited. The Government reserves the right to make any future solicitation/contract award relating to this Sources Sought a small business set aside. Submissions will indicate a company?s size status as either large or small business as determined by North American Industry Classification System. The NAICS code for this service is 561730 with an a size standard of six million based on annual average gross revenue over the last three fiscal years. Replies to this Sources Sought should include the company's name, address, point of contact (for future correspondence), and their status as either a small or large business. Companies, which are either HUBZone or Section 8(a) certified, should additionally indicate their status.
