- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation, F4551430160100 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). (iii) This solicitation document with incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-12. (iv) This is an unrestricted acquisition. Only small business may submit an offer/quote which will be considered. The associated NAICS code is 337214 and small business size standard is 500 employees. (v) Line item 0001: Aviator chairs, 58EA. Contractor will furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities, and transportation necessary to provide services for delivery, assembly, and setup of chairs at destination. Line item 0002: Freight. Line item 0003: Installation. (vi) This Aviator Chair must comply with the following requirements: This chair, manufactured by Turnbull Enterprises, model B-3G-17, part number 564-201 or equal is required for a Pilot Briefing room. This chair has a steel frame. It is made from Steel, Aluminum, Upholstery and Cushioning. The dimensions of this chair are in inches: Width: 27?, Depth 43? with seat fully reclined, Height 40?, the chairs weigh approximately 86 lbs. The chair has five recline positions, a folding storable writing tablet, 12?x 23.5? also called a folding plotting board or desktop. The chair is equipped with locker storage space under the seat which extends for easy access and stowage of gear. The armrest is cushioned and padded. All aluminum chair components have corrosion resistant hardware. The upholstery is artificial leather, and the color is imperial blue (US-432). The desktop and frame is powder coated black. The chair has a high adjustable back. (vii) Items MUST BE delivered 90 days from date of award. Delivery will be FOB destination to 551 Special Operations Squadron, building 1019, 4279 Hercules Way SE, Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM 87117. Acceptance will be at the same address. (viii) FAR clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Include three references with your proposal (government references are most relevant). Provide literature describing your Aviator Chair and a picture of it or an equal chair. (ix) FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items, is applicable. While price may be a significant factor in the Evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, quality, technical specifications and other factors as described in the solicitation. (x) Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with the proposal. Offerors must also include a completed copy of the provision at DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representation. (See www.farsite.hill.af.mil for clause text).
