This Amendment is to Extend Response Date as follows: 4:00 P.M. EST 03 March 2003 due to Questions Received and Answers provided as follows: Question(s): Could you please advise whether the 149,200 rounds of ammunition 5.56 mm (or equivalent) is standard .223 ammunition or if it is linked? Additionally, may we offer more than one product against the RFQ? Answer(s): Yes, it is either 5.56 MM or standard .223 ammunition. No it is Not Linked. Yes you may offer more than one product against the RFQ. Question(s): Could you clarify what type of 5.56 ammunition you require? For example, performance specs, ball or hollow point type bullet ...etc? Answer(s): Standard Ball type 5.56 MM or .223 ammunition. No further specifications required. Question(s): Are there any specific performance requirements for this solicitation? Are there any restrictions as to be bullet construction or design? What constitutes completed Representations and certifications? If the offered ammunition meets standard NATO dimensions and measurements is a drawing still required? Answer(s): Basic standard NATO specifications or equivalent specifications. No restrictions other than ?American Made? or made in any country listed in Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) 225.872-1 General.
