Description
SUPPLY WEED CONTROL CHEMICAL ROUND-UP PRO. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products/services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION, PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAR, Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Colorado River Agency, Parker, Arizona, maintains the Colorado River Agency Irrigation Project (CRIP) located in West-Central Arizona. The irrigation project lies along the Colorado River and is approximately 650 miles of canals and laterals, and 125 miles of drains. Canals and laterals are comprised of both earthen and cement lined with depths from 2 feet to over 20 feet, and drains from 20 to 25 feet in depth. In order to better navigate and maintain the irrigation system, Colorado River Agency requires the purchase of the herbicide weed control chemical, Round-Up Pro, to control existing and germinating weeds on approximately 150 miles of cement-lined canals, 500 miles of distribution dirt laterals, 45 miles of farm fender dirt lateral, and 50 miles of drains. All chemicals will be mixed, applied, and containers recycled. Supply of chemicals will be throughout the year (January 2003 through December 2003) on an as-needed basis. Bids shall be for a unit price with a lump sum bid on 4,000 gallons of chemicals. Estimated Price Range is $100,000 to $250,000. Delivery will be FOB destination to BIA, Colorado River Agency, Route 1, Box 9-C, Parker, Arizona 85344. The following FAR provisions apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items; 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items. OFFERORS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A COMPLETED COPY OF 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with its offer. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is determined most advantageous to the Government, price and technical considered. The Contracting Officer's Representative for the project will be Mr. Ted Henry, Irrigation Systems Manager, Colorado River Agency, phone 928-662-4392. PROPOSALS ARE DUE AT THE ADDRESS FOR BIA/WESTERN REGIONAL OFFICE LISTED IN THIS ANNOUNCEMENT BY 25 MARCH 2003, 4:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME AT BID OPENING.
