- Description
- The US Army, Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM- MAS), is seeking interested, qualified sources for the manufacture and delivery of 120mm Tank Ammunition XM1002 Cartridge, the training cartridge for the tactical 120mm M830A1 HEAT-MP-T; High Explosive Anti-Tank - Multi Purpose - Tracer Cartridge. A contract for a qualification/first article phase to a second producer is anticipated for award in 4QFY04 contingent upon the XM1002 TDP being available in 2QFY02. The contract is expected to include options for LRP (3,000 cartridges), Production Year 1 (7,000 cartridges), and Production Year 2 (20,000 cartridges). All quantities are estimates only. The competition is planned to be limited to the US and Canada after exclusion of the first source. Deliveries will be required no later than 12 months after contract award. A system contract award is intended. Firms interested in participating in this acquisition should submit a capability statement adequately describing experience in munitions development, production, and testing, systems contracting, demonstrated annual production quantities and annual production capacity. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement.
