- Description
- The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Columbiana Boiler Company LLC, in Columbiana, Ohio to purchase four each (4) new and empty Spec 4BW Exemption E11580 Cylinders, 5-gallon, and two each (2) new and empty 4BW Exemption E11580 Cylinders, 15-gallon. Columbiana Boiler Company is the only known manufacturer of 4BW's using the E11580 Department of Transportation (DOT) exemption for transportation nitrogen tetroxide cylinders. The proposed purchase order is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 10 days after publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
