- Description
- The VISN 19, Rocky Mountain Consolidated Contracting Center (RMCCC) i= s seeking sources capable of providing Infusion Pumps and Patient Controlled Assist (PCA) Pumps, on a rental basis, to participating VA Medical Centers within VISN 19. This sources sought announcement is extended to =93only=94 to vendors with current Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracts for rental of Infusion and PCA pumps. VISN 19 will not review open market products, at this time. This sources sought is for FSS contractors willing to provide on-site demonstrations of their pumps. Demonstrations will be conducted at each participating VISN 19, VA Medical Center, which may include, the VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System, Denver, CO; VA Montana Healthcare System, Ft. Harris, MT; VA Sheridan, WY; VA Grand Junction, CO; VA Salt Lake City, UT. VISN 19 is seeking pumps which conform to the following minimum standards. (1) Infusion Pumps shall have single and dual channel capability; provide anti-free-flow device; be suitable for use in CCU and Med Surgery; programmability for loading dosages and/or cyclical infusion; contain adjustable occlusion alarm pressure; automatic restart with correction of down stream occlusion alarm; be capable of computer interface with VA=92s =93Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS); manageable size and weight; provide air bubble purge/override; message indicator; doorless; provide standardized tubing; be user friendly; IV site pressure trending; provide battery charge indicator light; provide Syringe delivery capability, be upgradeable and contractor provided on-site maintenance. (2) Patient Controlled Assist (PCA) Pumps shall provide anti-free-flow device; be suitable for use in CCU and Med Surgery; programmability for loading dosages; ability to use manufactured medication (i.e., from Abbott or other company that provides medications in a usable format with 1+ year expiration); adjustable occlusion alarm pressure; automatic restart with correction of down stream occlusion alarm; be capable of computer interface with VA=92s =93Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS); manageable size and weight; provide air bubble purge/override; message indicator; doorless; provide standardized tubing; be user friendly; IV site pressure trending; provide battery charge indicator light; provide Syringe delivery capability, be upgradeable and contractor provided on-site maintenance. VA will also consider pumps offering 3 Channel capacity, if available. VA will evaluate the acceptability of products based on performance in the areas stated above. This is a request for product information and demonstration only! This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The VA shall not be obligated to pay for any information received or demonstrations performed. Requests for copies of a solicitation shall not be honored or acknowledged. Information should be forwarded to the Contracting Officer by March 14, 2003. VA shall review information obtained from demonstrations performed, from which a requirement may or may not result.
