- Description
- This solicitation will be available to review and print on the FedBizOpps website in approximately 15 days. The Holbrook Junction Fuels Reduction Project is to create a fuel break by mechanically treating 104 acres of vegetation (Pinyon and sagebrush). The treatment will reduce the buildup of flammable vegetation, moderate the threat of wildland fire to a subdivision and improve firefighter safety. Cutting, chipping, shredding and mulching of vegetation is required. Vegetation to be treated will be identified with flagging, paint or a demonstration area. The work site is located at Holbrook Junction, Nevada, T.10N, R.33E, sections 7 and 19. From Carson City, Nevada, take Highway 395 south for 35 miles to Holbrook Junction, (2 miles north of Topaz Lake). The project is located west of Highway 395 at the south end of the Holbrook Highlands subdivision and north of Penrod Lane. The est. start date is April 1, 2003 with the contract time of approx. 40 days. See numbered note #1.
