- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is (Request for Quotation) RFQ-03-9. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This procurement falls within the definition of North American Industry Classification Code 334511. The small business size standard is 750 employees. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Forest Service, Superior National Forest, Ely Seaplane Base is soliciting competitive quotes on the following: (QUANTITY 3 EACH) APOLLO MX-20 MFD (OR EQUAL); (QUANTITY 3 EACH) APOLLO GX-65 COM/GPS (OR EQUAL); (QUANTITY 3 EACH) APOLLO SL-40 COM (OR EQUAL); (QUANTITY 3 EACH) APOLLO SL-70 TRANSPONDER (OR EQUAL). Basis of award will be best value to the Government, to include the factors of price and delivery schedule. Offerors are to include a complete copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 Offer Representations and Certifications/Commercial Items with offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4 Terms and Conditions/Commercial Items apply to this procurement. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions are required to implement statutes or Executive Orders/Commercial Items set-aside for small business concerns. Please furnish quotes and descriptive literature for any equal offered to: USDA, Forest Service, Superior National Forest, Attn: Jim LeBlanc, 8901 Grand Avenue Place, Duluth, MN 55808. Quotes are due no later than March 6, 2003 at 2:00PM c.s.t.
