- UNICOR intends to enter into a five year firm fixed price requirements type contract for Lumber, Plywood Particleboard and Veneer for FCC Coleman, Fl, FCI Sheridan, OR and FCI Forrest City AR. The solicitation number is FN1145-03 and this solicitation is issued as an Request For Proposal (RFP). Item 0001 - UNICOR Part # LBR0089, Yellow Pine, Crating-LBR, #2GRD.2"?x4"x12', Est. Qty: 59,200, U/I: Each, Item 0002 - UNICOR Part # LBR2170, Yellow Pine, #4, Lumber, 1"x4"x12' Crating, Qty: 212,945, U/I: Each. Additional specifications will be available in solicitation document. Delivery is 30 days after receipt of each delivery order for initial order. All orders thereafter shall be delivered within five (5) days after receipt of delivery order for FCC Coleman, Fl. The offeror will be required to maintain a two-month stock quantity for these items to meet the five (5) day delivery schedule for Coleman, Fl only. The two month stock quantity numbers will be listed in the solicitation document. The two-month stock quantity shall be maintained at the offerors site. The minimum delivery order quantity for Coleman is 846 each, Maximum delivery order quantity for Coleman is 1,908 and the combination delivery order quantity for Coleman is 3,815. Maximum delivery order quantity for Sheridan is 200 each for items 0003-0008, 0014 and 0015 and items 0009-0013 are 5000 BF, the combination delivery order quantity for Sheridan is $500,000.The minimum delivery order quantity for Forrest City for item 0016 is 1000 each and item 0017 is 500 each, Maximum delivery order quantity for Forrest City is 5,000 each for item 0016 and 4,000 each for item 0017, the combination delivery order quantity for Forrest City $260,000.00. Items 0001 and 0002 are to be delivered FOB Destination FCC Coleman, Fl, Items 0003-0015 are to be delivered FOB Destination FCI Sheridan, OR and Items 0016 and 0017 are to be delivered FOB Destination FCI Forrest City, AR. Additional specifications will be available in solicitation document. Delivery is 21 days after receipt of each delivery order for FCI Sheridan, OR and FCI Forrest City, AR. This is a full and open competitive Request for Proposal. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on a multiple award basis per factory location. Offerors shall submit signed and dated offers to the Office Furniture Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 Building, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. This information shall be displayed on the outside of the envelope with the solicitation number and offer closing date. Fax proposals are accepted at 202-305-7337, Attn: Bid Custodian, the fax cover sheet shall reference the solicitation number and offer closing date and time. All offerors must acknowledgment all amendments. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: past performance, ability to meet specification and price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The solicitation will be available on UNICOR?s website at www.unicor.gov/procurement/profurniture.htm and eps.gov on or about January 6, 2003. No copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
