Description

The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command Pacific in Alameda, CA, proposes to contract for the Dockside Repair of USCGC BLUEBELL (WLI 313), homeported in Portland, Oregon, during the period of 03 March 2003 through 28 March 2003. A proposed work list includes: overhaul of port and starboard main diesel engines and reduction gear. On or about 15 days from issuance of this notice, an Invitation for Bids (IFB), will be issued, in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts, loans are available under the DOT short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
