This workshop will be held on March 4, 2003 from 8:00am to 4:00pm at the Executive Conference Center, Strategic Analysis, Suite 600, 3601 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201. The purpose of this workshop is to: (1) discuss technical information related to the topic herein, (2) discuss current work and future needs in worm defense, and (3) promote technical exchange among government, industry, academia, and other interested parties. A web site is being established at http://www.darpa.mil/ato/solicit/DQ/index.htm that provides registration information, agenda, and information to be presented during the Industry Day. Please register for this event at this web site. Due to limited seating availability, attendance is limited to two representatives from each organization present, preferably one business representative and one technical representative. Attendance is open to U.S. Citizens and Foreign Nationals. U.S. Citizens are required to register by February 27, 2003 to attend this workshop and Foreign Nationals are required to register by February 26, 2003, which includes completion of a DARPA Foreign National Visitor Request Form (DARPA Form 60). Foreign Nationals are cautioned to declare their citizenship in the remarks section of the registration page at the web site herein so that a DARPA Form 60 may be sent in a timely manner for completion by attendees prior to the February 25, 2003 registration deadline. Individuals not registered by the times indicated herein may be denied access to this event. Attendance at this workshop is solely voluntary and attendees are required to pay a $65.00 workshop registration fee, and make their own travel and hotel arrangements. The government will not reimburse attendees for any costs associated with this event. As a result of this Industry Day Workshop, the government may choose to issue an amendment to existing Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) BAA03-06, issue a separate Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), Solicitation Notice, or Other Notice, but is under no obligation whatsoever to do so. If the government does choose to issue a subsequent announcement or modify existing BAA03-06 as a result of this Industry Day Workshop, individuals/organizations not present for this Industry Day are not precluded from responding to any such amendment or announcement. Attendees are fully encouraged to participate in this event by giving individual presentations related to the subject area. Presentation material information, however, must be submitted to the government for review prior to the date of this event. It is anticipated that time will be allocated for individual invited presentations on worm defenses. Furthermore, participating parties are encouraged to explore the possibility of teaming arrangements that develop integrated solutions to this topic area. All discussions and material generated as a result of this Industry Day Announcement will be UNCLASSIFIED. Neither proprietary nor unclassified-but-sensitive information may be included in the workshop presentations.
