Description
NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Boeing 757 IPC tri-annual data revision service, document D6-49286-NAS-0128, Online MyBoeingFleet with 1 back up CD, Tech Doc CD (BDTDCD), With 4 additional CD?s in support of NASA's 757 aircraft. This service provides manuals, updates, bulletings, for the operation and maintenance of the aircraft. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Boeing Inc. as the only known source who can meet the agency's requirements. . Boeing manufactures the NASA 557, a Boeing 757 research aircraft and is the only recognized vendor capable of providing revision service for these critical documents. Boeing has proprietary rights to the revision NASA requires. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on February 25, 2003. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
