- Description
- This is a notice of intent by the Naval Air Systems Command, Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-G-6550 with Rockwell Collins Government Systems (RCGS), 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids IA 52498 for an AN/ARC RT-1803(V) Upgrade. The contractor shall provide an update to the hardware and software design of the RT-1803(V) transceiver to the RT-1556B (ECP-011) hardware and software configuration, while maintaining the functionality and interface of the existing RT-1803(V); an update to the existing RT-1803(V) documentation to reflect the changes; obtain a new nomenclature for the transceiver (e.g., RT-1803A); and provide two production representative transceivers for testing and evaluation. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The ARC-210 radios were previously procured under another contract vehicle and due to the proprietary nature of the radio and related software, RCGS is the only manufacturer that can provide this hardware and re-design.
