Description
NA This notice is a market survey conducted by the Department of Army to identify the existence of additional sources for an urgent acquisition in support of the Single Channel Ground and Airborne System (SINCGARS) receiver/transmitters, ancillary components and spare parts. The prospective contractors must be able to accept delivery orders commencing on April1, 2003. Initial deliveries are due nine months after award of delivery orders. The SINCGARS family of VHF/FM tactical combat net radios are designed to operate in the 30 to 88 MHz band in 25 kHz discrete channels in both frequency hopping and single channel modes. The Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM) capability of SINCGARS allow for the reception of both voice and data in a hostile jamming en vironment. Integrated Communication Security (COMSEC) provides the required degree of protection of operational voice and data transmission and reception. SINCGARS radios have been designed to interoperate with existing and legacy tactical communications equipment of the US military, NATO and most foreign forces. The production hardware will include current and previous generations of SINCGARS Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and spares. This acquisition will include both the Domestic Version and Export Ver sion of SINCGARS. A list of the deliverable spare parts, as well as LRUs, is attached (additional items may be added at a later date). A Technical Data Package (TDP) is available for the Domestic Version of SINCGARS. Additional engineering efforts may be required by prospective contractors in order to successfully produce these items. The Export Version SINCGARS contains proprietary radio waveform. The prospective contractors will be required to obtain the Export Version SINCGARS radios from ITT Industr ies as commercial items.
