Description
NA This is a market research to locate sources for the acquisition of the Depot Level Contractor Logistic repair for Ground Data Terminal (GDT) and Spares. The GDT is part of the Joint STARS Surveillance and Control Data Link (SCDL). The GDT is used with t he Joint STARS Common Ground Station (CGS) or equivalent. An Air Data Terminal (ADT) and one or more GDT are required to establish a two-way communications net between the Joint STARS aircraft and one or more Joint STARS ground stations. The ADT omni-dir ectionally broadcasts KU-band digital Frequency Modulation downlink signals. The GDT acquire the transmitted signals to permit continuous display of Joint STARS sensor information at the ground stations. The ADT also receives KU-band digital uplink signa ls from the GDT. This system employs anti-jam features and encryption/decryption. Detailed technical data is not available for the GDT and spares. Suppliers capable of providing the depot logistic support must respond by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-JS, Building 1201E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentations to prove capability of performing this service, a proof of prior experience with this system or equivalence, a proof of being capable of opera ting and using the related test equipments, and a proof of having the capability of proper diagnostics such fault detection, fault isolation, etc. Successful bidder may be required to warrant that the items repaired will satisfactorily perform when used f or the purpose intended by the Army. For more information contact Mr. Mohammad Abbas-Zadeh, (732) 532-9866 or Ms. Beverly Donaldson, (732) 532-1569. The deadline for this response is March 07, 2003.
