Description

NA SOLE SOURCE: The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with KineticSystems Company LLC, 900 North State Street, Lockport, IL 60441 to provide two (2) each VXI Digitizer Model V200-AE14, 16-ch annel card with 32MB memory buffer, Analog to Digital Converter. The digitizers are run by National Instruments software that has been developed over many years to interface specifically with this field instrumentation and tailored to meet the specific mi ssion needs for USAYPG. There are currently three of these type digitizers in use at USAYPG that must have the same capability form, fit and function. To acquire the digitizers from different or multiple vendors, would cost the organization undue time an d money having to rewrite instrumentation software packages. The impact would delay of at least six months for reprogramming the software package for each different vendor?s digitizer. The NAICS code is 334513/500. Award of the requirement shall be in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13 ? Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Your response MUST demonstrate that your firm possesses the equipment compatible with the National Instruments software and have license to use such software, experience and capability to provide the required digitizers along with your his torical experience.
