ANTENNA COUPLER PR: FD2020-03-20189 Item NSN: 1420NCE516063 Part Number: 10-21665-4 Total Qty: 14 The anticipated award date will be: 30 Sept 2003. This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis. The following information is provided to do a market survey of industry to see if there are any potential contractors who have the skills and knowledge required to complete this effort. Scope: The Antenna Coupler is a Radio Frequency Power Divider, that is an existing qualified item currently used on the Mod 7 Instrumentation Wafer. The coupler is designed and built by the Sage Laboratories Inc. The antenna coupler is designed to couple both the S-Band Telemetry Signal and the Global Positioning System (GPS) Telemetry Signal to the S-Band antennas to track the MM III missile. Use: The Antenna Coupler will be part of the GPS tracking system used by the Western Range to track the MM III Force Development and Evaluation (FDE) flight test flown from Vandenberg AFB. This antenna coupler is used to couple the S-Band signals received from either one or two airborne transmitters to a common set of airborne antennas. The antenna coupler is used during real time MM III missile lift-off until NS-50 computer shut down. These parts must be acquired from a manufacturing sources(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in the Government possession and cannot be economically obtained. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation.
