Description
A sole source procurement is contemplated with General Atomics. 3550 General Atomics Court, San Diego, CA 92121-1122. General Atomics is the only known qualified source to perform this effort. This contract will provide for contractor support of the continuing integration of state of the art sensors, networks and protocols into the E-SMART T/A system at various test sites to be designated. The test sites will challenge the systems capabilities as related to situations that U.S. armed forces would encounter in urban combat situations. General Atomics is uniquely capable of performing these tasks through their direct experience with the original system development, and continued maintenance of the E-SMART system. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Questions shall be directed to the Contracting Specialist Lt Steven Allee, (850) 882-4294, ext 3399, or the Contracting Officer is Martin Kradlak (850) 882-4294 ext 3402. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
