- SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION FENCING IDIQ, ALTUS AFB, OK A base-wide fencing, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded from the solicitation resulting from this synopsis. The performance period will consist of one (1), Twelve (12) month Basic period and four (4), twelve (12) month Option periods. The scope of work includes removing and replacing multiple types of existing fencing, gates and concrete curbing AND installing new fencing, gates and concrete curbing in new areas. Work includes all labor, tools, materials and hardware. Occasional tree and sprinkler relocation and/removal/or replacement may be necessary to include sod replacement. THE NAICS CODE FOR THIS ACQUISITION IS 235990. The solicitation will be issued as a competitive acquisition restricted to small businesses holding current 8(a) certifications with the Small Business Administration. Competition will be restricted to those 8(a) small businesses residing in or having business plans on file with the Small Business Administration in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,00.00. The guaranteed minimum contract amount is $50,000.00 for the Base Period only. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be made available for downloading via the Internet Electronic Posting Site, website address www.eps.gov on approximately 14 MAR 2003 with a closing date tentatively scheduled for 04 APR 2003. All responsible sources meeting the criteria stated herein may submit a proposal. The Government shall consider all such proposals. SOLICITATION PACKAGES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM THOSE 8(a) CONTRACTORS LOCATED IN OKLAHOMA, KANSAS, AND TEXAS. PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (DOD) CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF THIS, OR ANY GOVERNMENT CONTRACT. THE WEBSITE FOR REGISTRATION IS LOCATED AT WWW.EPS.GOV . OFFERORS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CCR DATABASE WILL RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. REGISTRATION REQUIRES APPLICANTS TO HAVE A DUNS NUMBER. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS REGISTER IMMEDIATELY TO ENSURE ELIGIBILITY FOR AWARD.
