Description

The Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, INL-RM-MS, requests information regarding commercial portable satellite transmission capabilities for the following types of requirements: Engineer, Furnish, Install, and Train personnel in new manpack and easily transported satellite system. This system shall send voice (secure/nonsecure) and/or fax/e-data (secure/nonsecure) from an austere environment. These individual mobile units may be point-to-point or networked together into a wirelss LAN. Final output power shall be DC. Primary input power may be the following; 110/220 AC, DC, and solar. OPeration is for short durations in high temperature and high humidity environments - predominantly in the African continent. Responses are to include company names, phone numbers, capabilities, previous similar projects with customer points of contacts, and status of your business (i.e. large, small, disadvantaged etc). ALso identify any limitations within any of the above types of requirements. Replies stating only that a company can satisfy these requirements will be disregarded. This is an attempt to obtain any valuable information in regards to commercial capabilities in the above mentioned areas for possible future acquisition. This is for information only.
