Description
This acquisition is for the purchase of glovebox window frames for securing polycarbonate and leaded glass windows at the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF). The option to purchase will be exercised through a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) by glovebox fabricators contracted to MFFF. The window frame Supplier/Subcontractor shall fabricate, inspect, and deliver the stainless steel window frames in accordance with the requirements delineated in this specification and comply with all applicable codes, standards and regulations. ITEMS TO BE FURNISHED BY THE SUPPLIER/SUBCONTRACTOR: The supplier/subcontractor's scope shall include, but not be limited to, the following items: 1. Stainless steel plate, angles or strips for forming into angles. 2. Fabrication of the polycarbonate window frames for frame type gloveboxes from stainless steel plate, angles or strips formed into angles with required dimensions and mounting holes (Approx. 800 frames with a max. size of 1000mm x 1500mm). 3. Fabrication of the polycarbonate window frames for shell type gloveboxes from machined stainless steel with required dimensions and mounting holes (Approx. 300 frames with a max. size of 1000mm x 1500mm).. 4. Fabrication of the leaded glass window frames from stainless steel formed into angles; including weldment of frame corners, support brackets, and lifting rings (Approx. 100 frames with a max. size of 1000mm x 1500mm). 5. Submittals as specified herein. 6. The Supplier/Subcontractor shall demonstrate his capacity to deliver 1200 window frames in 2004. Vendors are requested to visit the DCS MOX website to download the required forms. Potential Suppliers will need to download and send to DCS the following forms: Proprietary Agreement, Appendix I and Appendix II. The DCS website is www.dcsmox.com.
