- Description
- This acquisition is for the fabrication, inspection, testing, and delivery of neoprene channel for use as glovebox window gaskets at the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF). The window gaskets will provide the seal around each glovebox window panel. The window gasket manufacturer shall fabricate, inspect, test, and deliver extruded or molded neoprene channel to be use for the window gaskets in accordance with the requirements delineated in this specification and comply with all applicable codes, standards and regulations. ITEMS TO BE FURNISHED BY THE SUPPLIER/SUBCONTRACTOR The supplier/subcontractor's scope shall include, but not be limited to, the following items for each lot of window gasket: 1. Extruded glovebox window gasket (straight section) 2. Molded glovebox window gasket (corner section) 3. Shop packaging, handling, and shipment to the fabricator 4. Recommended bonding agent for vulcanizing the neoprene joints together 5. Recommended lubricant for window installation 6. Submittals as specified herein 7. The Supplier/Subcontractor shall demonstrate his capacity to deliver 16,000 feet of neoprene gasket in 2004 or in two smaller lots at the rate of 8,000 feet in each of 2004 and 2005. Vendors are requested to visit the DCS MOX website to download the required forms. Potential Suppliers will need to download and send to DCS the following forms: Proprietary Agreement, Appendix I and Appendix II. The DCS website is www.dcsmox.com.
