Description
This acquisition is for the design, fabrication, inspection and delivery of the Internal Glovebox Connectors for the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF). The Internal Glovebox Connectors Supplier/Subcontractor shall design, fabricate, inspect and deliver Internal Glovebox Connectors in accordance with the requirements delineated in this specification and comply with all applicable codes, standards and regulations. Supplier/Subcontractor shall provide design, fabrication, and delivery of Internal Glovebox Connectors in the MFFF in compliance with all applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations as well as all other requirements of this specification. These items shall be provided in support of the fabrication, delivery, and start-up schedule of the MFFF project. The Internal Glovebox Connectors will be used for the cables that are internal to the glovebox. There will be two different types of configurations that are required to support the wiring internal to the glovebox. The first type of connector will be the connector used at the Glovebox Internal Junction Box with the second type being a cable in-line connector. The connectors shall be Push-Pull type keyed with Stainless Steel housings. The connectors utilized at the Internal Junction Box will be a fixed receptacle type connector with a corresponding straight plug connector for the internal glovebox cable. The in-line cable conductor will be used for all cables that are longer then 9 feet inside the glovebox which do not utilize an internal glovebox junction box. The connectors will be used for all coaxial, thermocouple, fiber optic, hybrid Profibus fiber optic, power, control, and instrumentation cables. The Supplier/Subcontractor shall control the quality of items and services to meet specification, applicable codes, standards and other procurement requirements. The Supplier/Subcontractor shall demonstrate his capacity to deliver approximately 4000 connectors in calendar year 2004 and the remaining 4000 connectors in calendar year 2005. Initial deliveries are anticipated in January 2004 with final deliveries anticipated in December 2005. Vendors are requested to visit the DCS MOX website to download the required forms.
