Description
This acquisition is for the design, fabrication, inspection and delivery of seventeen (17) Blowers for Dedusting Systems in the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF). The Dedusting Blower Supplier/Subcontractor shall engineer, design, and establish a purchase price for the Blowers in accordance with the requirements delineated in this specification and comply with all applicable codes, standards and regulations. The Blowers will aid in the removing of PuO2 dust from the process equipment to the filters, the Blowers will not be contaminated. The Blowers will be located just outside of the glovebox enclosures. The Blowers will be designed to provide flow, through a maximum pressure drop (when all filters involved are at max. ??P), through two (2) HEPA filters and one (1), two (2), or seven (7) candle filters. Supplier/Subcontractor shall provide engineering and design of Blowers sized for three (3) types of Filter Systems in the MFFF, in compliance with all applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations as well as all other requirements of this specification. This could entail three (3) different sizes of Blowers. These items shall be provided in support of the fabrication, delivery, and start-up schedule of the MFFF project. The Supplier/Subcontractor shall prepare and provide all essential, quality checked, calculations that are necessary for the engineering and design of the system. The Supplier/Subcontractor shall control the quality of items and services to meet specification, applicable codes, standards and other procurement requirements. The Supplier/Subcontractor shall demonstrate his capacity to deliver approximately seventeen (17) Blower Systems, once a Basic Ordering Agreement is created. The Blowers system will include: Extractor Blower Motor Vacuum Extractor Silencer Special tools required for maintenance and operation Vendors are requested to visit the DCS MOX website to download the required forms. Potential Suppliers will need to download and send to DCS the following forms: Proprietary Agreement, Appendix I and Appendix II. The DCS website is www.dcsmox.com.
