- Description
- Pilot project to secure a complete set of services to accomplish a regeneration stand treatment using a two-age prescription. This requirement also provides road maintenance, erosion control activities associated with commercial product removal necessary for soil and water resource protection, construction and closure of temporary roads and landings and the merchadising and hauling of forest products to designated locations. The scope of this requirement covers 45 acres located on the Grandfather Ranger District located in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Contractor will be required to fell, skid, merchandize, deck, load and haul within 50 miles all sawtimber estimated at 318 MBF-Doyle, 612 tons of all pulpwood with the possibility of additional haul as required. The contract will be awarded on an all-or-none basis. The requirement is 100% set-aside for small business participation only. The anticipated issue date for the solicitation is March 10, 2003. A pre-bid meeting will be held on or about April 1, 2003. It is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED that all prospective contractors attend this meeting.
