- IRS 5 meter panchromatic digital imagery covering the Southern and Central Coast Section of California. The 16 million acre project falls within Merced, San Benito, Monterey, Kern Fresno, Kings, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Imperial and San Diego counties. The delivered imagery shall be georeferenced and orthorectified using 7.5 minute base series maps and 10 meter DEMs. Minimum positional accuracy will be 25 meters. 5 meter imagery will be coregistered to the 1 meter DOQs based on a minimum number of 4 control points established within each quad. Tonal balancing will not be required between scenes. The imagery shall be cloud free summer imagery from 2002, June, July, or August. Image format shall be ERDAS Imagine in UTM Zone 11 projection, NAD 17 datum. A compresed image mosaic for visual reference is also required. Image specification Summary: ? 5 meter panchromatic satellite imagery (IRS or SPOT5) ? Continuous coverage of the specified project area ? Georeferenced and terrain correct to at least 25 meter positional accuracy ? Spatially coregistered to 1 meter digital orthoquads ? UTM zone 11, NAD 27 ? Imagine format Prospective vendors shall provide quotes listing the panchromatic digital imagery. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ R5-03-20-018. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotations. Upon contract award, the Government will provide digital ARCINFO coverages illustrating the entire project area that shall be used as an aid for scene selection. A list of preferred scene dates within the project area will also be provided. The Government will also provide DOQ, DEM, and base series maps for georeference, terrain correction and coregistration purposes. Questions concerning acceptable levels of cloud over and exact scene dates shall be resolved following contract award. Imagery shall be delivered to Sacramento, CA by May 1,2003. FOB point may be origin. All Provisions, Clauses and Statutes or Executive orders for the acquisition of commercial items are applicable to this request.
