Description
The Naval Air Systems Command Lakehurst NJ intends to solicit proposals for Composite Repair Set Temperature/Vacuum Controller to be used for the V-22 Program. Note 1 - The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The requirement is for a portable, self contained, composite repair set for performing composite repairs on the V-22 Aircraft. The unit will be used by U.S. Marines at the organizational and intermediate levels of maintenance both at land bases and aboard U.S. Navy ships. The repair set shall have the capability to generate, control and monitor vacuum and cure temperatures in the repair and dry-out of aircraft bonded and composite structures. Additionally the unit shall be used in conjunction with V-22 peculiar support equipment P/N 901-232-006-101, Double Vacuum Debulk Tool. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying commercial items as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The Government is anticipating a firm-fixed-price four-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract with a minimum quantity of 1 and a maximum quantity of 200 production units. The requirement includes one First Article Test unit. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government technical, past performance and price considered. Hard copy of solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The Government will NOT accept electronic offers. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business", then "Doing Business With Us" and "Open Solicitations". Look for amendments on the web page. Solicitation No. N68335-03-R-0059 will be issued on or about March 3, 2003.
