Description
NAICS Code: 541380 THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION. QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is RFQ-RT-03-00081, and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-12. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541380, which has a size standard of $5 million to qualify as a small business. The Environmental Protection(EPA) anticipated that a firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded as a result of full and open competition using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is for the analysis up to 400 samples of animal tissues and biological buffer solutions for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) toluene, perchloroethylene, (1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethylene), trichloroethylene, and 1,1,1 1-trichloroethane (methylchloroform). Assays will be required for these VOCs dissolved in rat blood, homogenized rat brain tissue, and biological buffer solution. Period of Performance: From date of award through 36 months. The contractor shall supply EPA with a cost on a per sample basis for each of the VOCs in each medium. A minimum of one hundred and twenty (120) samples (10 samples per chemical, per medium) will be guaranteed. Optional quantities may also be required, up to a maximum of 400 total samples (up to 100 per chemical). Any applicable wage determination(s) will be made a part of the resultant purchase order. Price and technical information should be submitted separately.
