- NA The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is seeking sources that have the technical capabilities and interest to propose an alternative to perform the following services. BACKGROUND: at this time, divers are performing this requirement. PROPOSED A CQUISITION: The Government has a requirement to install hydroacoustic transducers at Portland District, Corps of Engineers, dams on the lower Columbia River. Transducers and mounts must be secured to the dam trash racks at a depth of 140 ft., with a curren t velocity of two knots, and water turbidity of 0-2 ft. Armored transducer cables must be routed and secured with zip ties to trash racks from just below the surface to the transducer and mount location. SUBMITTAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SOURCES SOUGHT: Inter ested parties are invited to submit their alternative proposal to this synopsis to: US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, Attn: CENWP-CT-S, Gaylen Evans, PO Box 2946, Portland, OR 97208-2946 no later than March 1, 2003.
