ICBM, Propulsion Replacement Program, F42610-03-R-AAAA Line item: 0001 NSN: 1420-00-973-1170AH P/N: P89A1 0002 NSN: 1420NCE516020AH P/N: P90AI This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis. The following information is provided to do a market survey of industry to see if there are any potential contractors who have the skills and knowledge required to complete this effort. The ICBM System Program Office (SPO) is planning a refurbishment of the servo-valves to ensure adequate serviceable numbers are available to perform Flight Control Units refurbishment during the Propulsion Replacement Program on the Minuteman III and ensure their service life is extended. Servo-Valve Refurbishment: The servo-valves are used to control the hydraulic fluid flow to flight control servo-components in response to guidance set commands in the LGM-30 Missile System. P89A1 (Stage I) and P90A1 (Stage 2). These parts must be acquired from a manufacturing sources(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in the Government possession and cannot be economically obtained. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements is cited in each individual solicitation. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation.
