- The Indian Health Service is doing Market Research. No Solication is available. This is for information gathering only. The Indian Health Service is looking into ways to 1) strengthen health services delivery to tribal/urban members, 2) help the Programs with an ongoing income stream and, 3) provide the beginning rung for a licensed and recognized health career ladder for CHRs - is to determine what is necessary in each tribal state and where we have urban centers for the type of health care provider Licensure/Certifcation that would enable services reimbursable by CMS (Medicare/Medicaid). The Indian Health Service is interested in finding out if any individuals or organizations have abilitites or knowledge to survey states for three items: 1. What types of services are reimbursed by the State agencies which administer CMS programs and what are their licensing requiring (including the gamut of services requiring medical oversight and those that don't require medical oversight. 2. What are the specific licensing/certification requirements for those types of providers "below" a registered nurse (RN) who can get reimbursed for services in those states, licensed pratical nurses (LPN), community health aides (CHA),community health workers (CHW). 3. What types of reimburseable services do not require licensing/certification (this may fall under #1). Please send any information or capability statements that may provide more information.
