- Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (Estimated Date). From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. SEE NOTES 1, 9 AND 26. This solicitation replaces 03Q4029. This is a negotiated procurement for two items. Item 0001 - Decoration set, Air Medal/8455-00-269-5747 for a quantity of 20,000 set. Two deliveries will be required beginning 150 days after award. Destinations are the New Cumberland Depot and Arizona. Item 0002 - Medal Set, Vietnam Svc./8455-00-926-1664 for a quantity of 55,500 sets. Four deliveries will be required beginning 150 days after award. This is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. First aritcles will be required. FOB Destinations will be required. The estimated issue date will be 2-3-03 with an estimated close date of 3-4-03. THE SOLICITATION HAS BEEN AMENDED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: ITEM #1 - DECORATION SET, AIR MEDAL - QUANTITY HAS BEEN INCREASED TO 100,000 IN LIEU OF 20,000 SETS. FIRST DELIVERY WILL BE REQUIRED IN 90 DAYS AFTER AWARD. ITEM #2 REMAINS UNCHANGED. THE CLOSING DATE REMAINS THE SAME: MARCH 20, 2003 .
