Description
The Department of Health and Human Services(DHHS)/Health Resources and Services Administration(HRSA), has a requirement for a full and open competition for management of medical services and technical support related to the National Emergency Medical Services for Children Resource Center(NEMSC). The NAICS code is 541690. Specifically, the contractor shall provide the following NEMSC related tasks: 1) detailed administration of the NEMSC program, 2) technical support services /assistance for the NEMSC program, 3) communications and management information activities, 4) assist in the coordination of up to four(4) special interest meetings/conferences per year, and 5) work to create NEMSC strategic development partnerships and community involvement. Any proposed contractor shall perform NEMSC related activities with a high level of familiarity and possess the appropriate organizational capabilities. The prospective contractor shall provide technical assistance to the Fifty(50) United States, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Territories of American Samoa, Central Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The NEMSC's overall mission is to reduce mortality and morbidity due to severe illness or injury among children. The planned period of performance is for a five(5) year contract consisting of a base period and four(4) one-year option periods. Interested offerors may request a copy of solicitation number HRSA-240-MCHB-009(03). It is planned that the solicitation, a Request for Proposals(RFP) shall be available on or around February 26, 2003. This procurement is subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 2003 funding.
