- The cited pre-solicitation notice is amended to read as follows. THIS AMENDMENT SUPERCEDES THE MODIFICATION POSTED ON 21 JAN 2003. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Washington Detachment is interested in obtaining document conversion services on behalf of the Defense Automation & Production Service (DAPS). Solicitation to be issued as a FULL AND OPEN COMPETITIVE requirement. Anticipate multiple awards and possible split awards of fixed priced, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contracts for a base year plus four one-year options with an additional 6 month option in accordance with FAR 52.217-8. The contracts will include but not be limited to the following services and service groupings: document conversion, Standard Document Handling, Standard Paper Document Scanning, Drawing/Map Scanning, Drawing/Map Vectorization, Microform, PDF Conversion, Proprietary Electronic Format Conversion, Indexing, OCR/Key Stroking/Data Entry, Mark Up Language Tagging/Validation, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM's), Repository, Multimedia Presentation, Video,Medical X-rays/negatives, Delivery Media, On-site services, classified services requiring a cleared facility. Contractors will be required to furnish services for the digitization/conversion/indexing and management of various text, graphic, and microform databases within the Department of Defense/Federal Agencies. Place of contract performance is at contractor's facility unless otherwise specified on indvidual delivery orders.
