- Description
- The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with Wiley Technology, 875 Mahler Road, Suite 280, Burlingame, CA 94010 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source" for Wiley Introscope software, used to measure JAVA application Activity. Delivery will take place 30 days ARO. The period of performance includes 12 months of maintenance from date of acceptance of the software. The software will be used to measure SSA Java application activity. The software provides key performance and capacity measurements of Java systems that will be developed under Websphere environments. The measurements include application level service time (response times) at the JAVA applet level from inside the application, as well as application level system utilization data at the JAVA applet level. Use of the software will be limited to pre-production performance engineering and capacity assignments. No other vendor of software with these necessary salient characteristics is known to the Government. The Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) description, and quantity are as follows: CLIN 0001 Introscope SQL Agent for SUN 4800 with 8 processors, qty 8; CLIN 0002 Introscope Websphere 3.5 powerpack for Sun 4800 with 8 processors, qty 8; CLIN 0003 Introscope MQ Series Powerpack for Sun 4800 with 8 processors, qty 8; CLIN 0004 Introscope CICS GTransaction Gateway Powerpack for Sun 4800 with 8 processors, qty 8; CLIN 0005 Maintenance for Introscope software SQL Agent, qty 8; CLIN 0006 Maintenance for Introscope Websphere 3.5 powerpack, qty 8; CLIN 0007 Maintenance for MQ Series Powerpack, qty 8; CLIN 0008 Maintenance for CICS Transaction Gateway Powerpack, qty 8; CLIN 0009 Introscope software for Sun Enterprises 4800 (8 CPUs) qty 8; CLIN 0010 Introscope Software for Websphere Edge Server (2 CPUs) qty 2); CLIN 0011 Maintenance for Introscope Software (qty 10). The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill this requirement. A solicitation is not available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
