- Description
- General Information Contracting Office Address Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Contracts Office, Port Hueneme, 3502 Goodspeed Street, Suite 2 Building 41, Port Hueneme, CA, 92043-4306 Description Naval Facilities Contracts Office (NAVFACCO) intends to solicit, negotiate and award a contract to the Association for Environmental Health and Sciences (AEHS), at 150 Fearing Street, Amherst, Massachusetts 01002. The Navy requires a highly qualified environmental forensics consultant to provide seminars and workshops on subject matter encompassing all aspects of contamination within the environmental media of air, water, soil, and biota on subjects of interest to the scientific community practicing in this emerging field. It is crucial that the development of these seminars be coordinated by experts in the field, (i.e. government, academic and environmental contractors, and lawyers), that are able to provide thorough, accurate and up-to-date information. This proposed acquisition would provide required engineering support for services including the logistics, development, and presentation of the environmental forensic workshops and seminars. The following types of work are representative of that which the contractor will be required to perform: (1) Workshops and Seminars Logistics- the contractor shall provide labor, equipment, and materials, as needed for various workshop events. (2) Develop Workshop Presentations with Navy Specific Concerns- When developing each workshop, the contractor shall structure the content logically to promote learning, citing tangible, Navy-related examples whenever possible. (3) Develop Seminar Manuals- Develop a seminar manual and supporting technology transfer documents. AHES is the only responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy the Government requirements. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), for one base year and two one-year options. Note 22.
