NA PREVIOUS SOLICITATION FOR A-76 COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES STUDY OF HOSPITAL HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES AT MARTIN ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL (MACH), FORT BENNING, GA, WAS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS AND WAS ULTIMATELY CANCELLED IN ITS ENTIRETY. This soli citation notice announces the requirement using full and open competitive procedures under a new solicitation DADA10-03-R-0013. The MEDDAC facilities requiring hospital housekeeping services are MACH and its 24 outlying buildings covering approximately 44 5,000 square feet. In order to propose on this requirement, a contractor, as a firm, MUST HAVE experience in managing and providing hospital housekeeping services to institutions of similar size and scope as required by the solicitation. The contractor must have gained this experience as a result of being regularly engaged in the business of providing services in health care/patient care environments of similar size and scope required by the solicitation. The minimum level of acceptable experience requi red is 24 months within the previous 36 months from the date initially established for submission of proposals. Periods of creditable performance may have been incurred at more than one site for at least 12 consecutive calendar months at each site and can not be incurred concurrently. Currently, the government in-house workforce is performing the services. Pursuant to OMB Circular A-76, the purpose of this study is to determine the most efficient and cost-effective means of providing the required services . This will be accomplished through the conduct of a ?cost-comparison? study. Accordingly, a contract may or may not ultimately be awarded as a result of the study/cost comparison. The solicitation will be available on or about 14 March 2003 and will on ly be accessible electronically at http://a76fsh.amedd.army.mil. The electronic version of the solicitation will be the official copy. A Pre-proposal Conference and site visit is expected to be held on or about 02 April 2003 at Fort Benning.
