- NA Combined Solicitation/Synopsis. Canopy, Structure, Pre-Engineered Appox. 25? x 65? Contracting Officer: 162 WG/LGC 6620 S. Air Guard Way Tucson AZ 85706 SMSgt Scot Stedman 520-295-6543 520-295-6493 fax scot.stedman@aztucs.ang.af.mil SCOPE: a. Design and furnish pre-engineered canopy structure as shown on drawings (available from Contracting Officer). b. Submittals: Contractor shall provide detailed shop drawings and engineering calculations (stamped by a licensed engineer in the State of Arizona) for review by the Contracting Officer prior to fabrication. c. The manufacturer shall design the entire system including structure and footings. Sauno tube / spread footing design preferred. d. All design criteria provided on sheet G-1 of drawing. MATERIALS: a. Structure shall consist of the following components: 1) Roof panels ? ASC Pacific HR-36; 2) Purlins, beams, columns, sizes and gauges shall be as determined by the manufacturer for loads imposed; 3) All required fasteners, bolts, etc., for a complete structure; 4) Reinforcing and anchor bolts as required for footings; 5) All exposed surfaces shall be pre-finished by the manufacturer. Color as selected by the Contracting Officer from the manufacturer?s standard color chart. b. Design criteria: 1) Code ? 2000 International Building Code; 2) AISI specifications, current edition; 3) Roof Dead Load = 23 psf (+5 for suspended utilities); 4) Roof Live Load = 20 psf; 5) Wind Load = 70 MPH/BWS, Exposure B, 90 MPH/3SG; 6) Structural Steel Fy = 36,000 psi; 7) Tubular Steel Fy = 46,000 psi; 8) Machine Bolt ASTM ? A-325; 9) Soil Bearing pressure = 1,500 psf. c. Flashing: 26 gauge, pre-finished metal to match roof color. d. Painting: All structural members to be prime coated red oxide. INSTALLATION: a. Deliver structure to Site 5 (see drawings), Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, Arizona. b. Structure will be erected by government.
