- NA On the behalf of the Tricare Medical Activity, Defense Contracting Command-Washington intends to negotiate a sole source award to OSSI in support of Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support Program, DMLSS, for a FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Validation of OpenSSL and OpenSSH Cryptographic Module. OSSI shall provide services that will be performed to support an application by DMLSS to a NIST (National Institutes of Standards and Technology) certified laboratory for a FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) 140-2 level 1 validation (with selected components level 2 as necessary to achieve the overall validation) for an OpenSSL and OpenSSH cryptographic module. The contractor will provide design assistance and documentation preparation, consulting, conduct al gorithm tests, and perform the validation testing of the cryptographic module resulting in the issuance of the FIPS 140-2 level 1 certification. The NAIC code for this procurement is ??. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file. Fifteen (15) days from the date of issuance of this notice, the Contracting Officer will proceed in accordance with FAR regulations a commerci al contract award to OSSI for FIPS 140 validation.
