- Description
- The requirement is for the purchase of a Programmable Resolver/Synchro Standard (RSS). The Air Force requirements for this item is that it be capable of calibrating the most accurate angle position indicators or synchro-to-digital converters. This instrument will be laboratory grade capable of simulating a synchro or resolver. This instrument shall be a self-contained instrument and can be remotely controlled by a computer via an IEEE 488 bus. The instrument can simulate dynamic and static operation including slow ship roll to rapid radar antenna scans. This item will be used to provide calibration support for the various servo systems used in the United States Air Force. The RSS will be used as an Air Force standard in an environmentally controlled laboratory. The complete requirements are described in the AFMETCAL purchase description. The purchase description will be a part of the solicitation package. This will be a commercial solicitation utilizing simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 12 and 13. A bid sample unit and technical proposal will be required with the solicitation response. The basic quantity is for 72 each with extended five year warranty and data in accordance with DD Form 1423s. There is an FY 06 Option for 1 lot of Provisioning Data. Delivery shall be FOB destination to AFMETCAL Det 1, Heath OH 43056-6116. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on 10 Feb 03 with a closing date of 12 Mar 03.
