Description
I. Introduction: Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), Management & Operating Contractor of the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL), is requesting an Expression Of Interest (EOI) from prospective vendors to provide a BROKK 330N or equal. The BROKK 330N (nuclear grade) remote controlled electro-hydraulic driven Demolition Vehicle with end-effector tool attachments is required for demolition of nuclear process equipment and facilities. The required equipment must include: 1) remote tele-operated control, 2) wireless RF control system, 3) a remote tool interface system, 4) electrically powered with a cable management system and 5) hydraulically operated demolition unit. The demolition equipment must have a minimum 15ft vertical reach and 1700 lb. lift capacity at full extension at the remote tool interface. The unit must fit through a 6ft wide by 6ft high opening, create less than 75 psi ground loading and weigh less than 12,000 lb. including the maximum load. The required end effectors include: 1) BROKK HC600 or equal steel shear, 2) clamshell bucket with a 4 cubic feet capacity, 3) backhoe bucket 20 inch wide 6 cubic feet capacity, and 4) cold cut saw. To be considered for solicitation, potential suppliers must provide evidence that the equipment to be offered has a history of successful applications in demolition of nuclear process equipment and facilities. The required equipment must be commercially available (not custom designed). This request for EOI shall serve as a method of screening potential vendors; allowing only vendors proposing to offer equipment determined by BBWI to meet the identified requirements to receive a formal Request for Proposal (RFP). II. Submittal: It is the intent of this request for EOI to identify candidate vendors who have readily available equipment offered as a standard product by catalog/part number. Custom designed equipment will NOT be considered. Your submittal shall include vendor catalog/part numbers and catalog cuts for the equipment to be proposed.
