Description

This notice will be used to determine the availability of potential sources, as authorized under section 1242 of the Food Security Act, as amended by the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, P.L. 107-171 (2002 Farm Bill). The USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service in Connecticut is seeking potential sources to act as technical service provider for implementation of Farm Bill programs administered by NRCS. The practices include: COMPREHENSIVE NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT PLANS . Design and Application of Planned Practices . Development and Application of Innovative Solutions (such as energy generation) WILDLIFE PLANNING AND APPLICATION . Development of Wildlife Habitat Plans . Design and Application of planned practices WETLAND RESTORATION Easements . Appraisal . Survey . Legal Development of Restoration Plans . Design and Application of Planned Practices STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FOR AGRICULTURE . Design and Application of Planned Practices WETLAND DELINEATIONS AND DOCUMENTATION (to meet state and federal requirements for agricultural activities) CLERICAL (receptionist, word processing, filing, database management etc.) FARMLAND AND RANCHLAND PROTECTION PROGRAM ASSISTANCE . Legal . Monitoring of Easements FOREST MANAGEMENT . Development of Forest Management Plans . Design and Application of Planned Practices IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT . Development of Irrigation Management Plans . Design and Application of Planned Practices FIRE INCIDENT MANAGEMENT (for forestry, wildlife and agriculture) . Development of Burn Management Plan .Application of Burn Management
