- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is conducting upgrades to its homeland defense capability. Therefore, the EPA has a requirement to purchase forty (40) complete operable radiation monitoring stations to be used in the event of a radiation accident emergency or perceived emergency. Each individual system will include a gamma radiation monitor, a low volume and a high volume air-sampler, a data logger integrated with a telemetry and telephone link, a pocket computer(s)/personal digital assistant(s) and a mounting platform with shipping cases, and manuals. In addition, the contractor shall provide four (4) portable electrical generators with shipping cases and manuals, and twenty (20) high volume and twenty (20) low volume air sampler calibrators with shipping cases and manuals to support the system. The contract will be awarded on the basis of Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 335999 with a size standard of 500 employees. The RFP will be issued approximately 2/18/03, and proposals will be due approximately thirty (30) calendar days after the RFP issuance date. It will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the solicitation is posted for any amendments. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.*****
