- Description
- The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806- 5000 is seeking the services of a qualified vendor to provide a Molten Salt Oxidation System for destruction of various munitions wastes at Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD). The contractor shall use the molten salt oxidation system technology developed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, which has been demonstrated and proven on prototype scale. A system employing this technology already exists at the Defense Ammunition Center, in McAlester, OK. It is the government?s desire that this system be disassembled, transported to BGAD, reinstalled and optimized to process the specific munitions waste material which exits at that site. In addition to installation, start-up, demonstration, validation and optimization, the prospective contractor shall also obtain all environmental permits and all provide training and maintenance documentation. Firms with experience in the areas cited above should provide a summary of their company?s capabilities, including a description of facilities, equipment, personnel and past experience to meet this requirement. This Market Survey is for planning purposes and should not be construed as a request for proposal or as a commitment on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. Information and samples shall be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
