Description

Project Name: Wahclella Trail Bridge, Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Multnomah County, Oregon. The intent of this project is to: 1. Construct two new bridge abutments. 2. Transport a Government provided bridge superstructure to the appoved site. Use of helicopters for bridge transportation may be necessary. An aviation plan must be approved prior to award. 3. Install the bridge across Tanner Creek. From Portland travel east on Interstate 84. Exit the freeway at Exit No. 40. Turn Right at the stop sign. Bridge site is located approximately 1 mile from the Wahclella Falls Trailhead along the Wahclella Falls Trail No. 436. The bridge will provide access across Tanner Creek. All Government materials are located at Herman Creek Workcenter, Cascade Locks, Oregon. The Government's Estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Bonding is required as follows: Payment or Alternate form of payment protection is 100 percent. Work is expected to take place late March or early April with 30 calendar day completion time. The NAICS Code is 237310. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. Documents will be available at this website only on approximately February 13, 2003.
