- The US Geological Survey intends to award a sole source contract to Sequoia Scientific Inc, 15317 NE 90th St Redmond, WA 98052 for 2 ea LISST-25X suspended sediment sensors; 2 ea LISST-25X optical paths; 2 ea 15 meter comm & power cables for LISST-25X; 2 ea LISST-100 submersible particle size analyzer; 1 ea custom reduced optical path on LISST-100. Equipment must meet the specific research needs of the program including simultaneous measurement of both suspended sediment concentration and suspended particle grain size data. Equipment must provide both suspended sediment concentration and full distribution of suspended particle grain size data in both range of sand particles 63 - 500 microns and silt/clay less than 2.5 - 63 microns using laser diffraction optical theory during in-situ deployments in the water column of river environments. No solicitation will be issued. Interested parties may submit a capability statement for review to the Contracting Officer. Award under small purchase procedures in contemplated. Anticipated award date is Feb 14, 2003
